It's about time that we get this blog set as an information source about our wedding day and the related details. You're probably here because you received a Save The Date card (photo credit: Kristen Green) from us recently. Welcome and thank you for looking us up. Ashley and I are sad we haven't been able to announce our engagement to everyone in person, but with friends and family all over the country, we found this to be a fun alternative. Our goal in creating this page is two-fold: to give you updates on our journey towards marriage and to make your journey to our wedding as simple and comfortable as possible. We realize that the day of the ceremony falls within the busy holiday season and that advanced planning is necessary for everyone who wants to attend. If you are able to come to Tallahassee on the weekend of December 30th, it is our desire to help you make your plans as stress-free as possible.
Best Man Rob Jones is ready and willing to negotiate block rates on hotel rooms for as many guests who have need. But the thing we must have in order to turn him loose is an educated guess as to how many rooms we will need and for how many nights. With an early afternoon wedding on that Saturday, I presume most of our guests in hotels will need two nights minimum. So, while you are online please take a minute to email Rob or one of us and let us know that you would like to be added to our block hotel arrangement. We will leave this opportunity open until the end of July and then report back to everyone with our findings. In my estimation, that would still be plenty of time to successfully book rooms for those who need them.
Look for more regular updates here as we chronicle the past couple of months since beginning this journey and lay out the next few steps in our plans together. Feel free to comment on the blog. We welcome the feedback.
